Shb-e-Qadr The most precious and praiseworthy Night

”Surely We will make to descend on you a weighty Word. Surely the rising by night is the firmest way to tread and the best corrective of speech” (al Qur’an 73, 1-5)

Nights are the time which Allah ‘azza wa jall has designated for the attainment of spiritual blessing and power. Allah told His Beloved in the Qur’an al-kareem: ”Rise to pray in the night except a little” (73:1)

Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala ordered the Beloved Prophet (Salla Allahu ta’ala ‘alayhi wa aalihi wa Sallam) to spend most of the night in worship in order to prepare his heart for the tremendous revelation of Qur’an al kareem. This night worship was the means for the Beloved Prophet (Salla Allahu ta’ala ‘alayhi wa aalihi wa Sallam) to ascend and to attain more and more power. His Companions would join him for the night prayer and would be rising up in station and spirituality:

Laylat al-Qadr is a holy night. All nights of Ramadan are holy nights but Laylat al-Qadr is the holiest night of this most holy month. It is also the holiest night among all other holy nights throughout the entire year. It comes only once a year and Allah Almighty grants to His most praised, most respected and most beloved servant Sayyadina Muhammad (Salla Allahu ta’ala ‘alayhi wa aalihi wa Sallam) this holy night, the Night of Power. About this night, God, the Glorious and Exalted said:

In the name of God, the Beneficent the Merciful
Indeed We sent it [al-Qur'an] down on the Night of Power.
What will convey to you what the Night of Power is like!
Better is the Night of Power than a thousand months
in that Night the angels and the Spirit descend
by the permission of their Lord for every affair.
Peace it is, till the break of dawn.

What is Ramzan?

RAMZAN is the Ninth Month according to Islamic Lunar calendar. Ramzan (written as Ramadan) is derived from the Arabic root word ‘ramida’ or ‘arramad’ that means intense scorching heat and dryness, especially of the ground.

Day of Judgement

When the earth will be trembled with its quake, and the earth will bring forth its burdens, and man will say, What has happened to it? That day it will describe all its happenings, because its Lord will have so commanded it. That day the people will come back (from the place of reckoning) in different groups, so that they may be shown (the fruits of) their deeds. So, whoever does any good act (even) to the weight of a particle will see it. And whoever does evil (even) to the weight of a particle will see it.

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱسۡتَعِينُواْ بِٱلصَّبۡرِ وَٱلصَّلَوٰةِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ () وَلَا تَقُولُواْ لِمَن يُقۡتَلُ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ أَمۡوَٲتُۢۚ بَلۡ أَحۡيَآءٌ۬ وَلَـٰكِن لَّا تَشۡعُرُونَ ()

Verses on Imamat from the Holy Quran

Here are some of the verses from the Quran pointing to the "True Religion", the presence of His Light and Grace, the presence of the Living Imam at all times, as is the theme in my website.

However, composing this page was a very pleasant exercise for me as I was able to reconfirm the many references from the Holy Quran all pointing to the Guide of the Age, our present IMAM MOWLANA SHAH KARIM AL-HUSAYNI, HIS HIGHNESS THE AGE KHAN, the direct descendent of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) through his daughter, Fatima and cousin and son-in-law, Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him).

In the Holy Quran Allah says not to mock anyone's religion as they may revile Allah in return.

Over the 49 generations of the Holy Imams, Ismailis have practiced their belief with the above guiding principle and with maintenance of their dignity. When faced with rejection of our tenets, I choose to point to another verse from the Quran:

Holy Quran is the religious book of muslims, that was revealed to prophet MUHAMMAD (SAW) at the age of 40. Holy Quran is not just a book it's a complete code of life . It contains answer to all the querries of life. It teaches us how to tackle everyday situations and behaviour in society of today's world.

Holy Quran is a book that is divided into 30 parts, where each is called para. It has 6666 ayats and 540 raqus . It got revealed on prophet muhammad saw in a span of 23 years out of which 13 were spent in MEECA AND 10 IN ME

uranic Verses and Hadith on the Month of Ramadan and Fasting

Al-Qur’an:

"Ramadan is the (month) in which the Quran was sent down, as a guide to mankind and a clear guidance and judgment (so that mankind will distinguish from right and wrong).." (Q 2:183)

Oh you who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that you many learn piety and righteousness" (Q 2:183)

Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may attain taqwaa." (Q2:183)

The most honored by Allah amongst you are those best in taqwaa."(Q 49:13)

..And it is better for you that ye fast, if ye only knew." (Q 2:184)

"Indeed We have revealed it (Qur'an) in the night of Power. And what will explain to you what the night of Power is? The night of Power is better than a thousand months. Therein descends the Angels and the Spirit (Jibreel) by Allah's permission, on every errand: (they say) "Peace" (continuously) till the rise of Morning!" (Q 97:1-5)

We sent it (this Qur'an) down on a blessed Night. Verily, We are ever warning (mankind of Our Torment). Therein (that Night) is decreed every matter of ordainment. Amran (i.e. a command or this Qur'an or His Decree of every matter) from Us. Verily, We are ever sending (the Messenger). (As) a Mercy from your Lord. Verily! He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower." (Ad-Dukhaan 44: 3-6)
Hadith


The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, "When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of the heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are chained." (Imam Bukhari) ...

Narrated Abu Huraira(r.a): The Messenger of Allah (saw) said:"... whoever fasts during Ramadan out of sincere faith and hoping to attain Allah's rewards, then all his past sins will be forgiven." (Imam Bukhari).

The Messenger of Allah (saw) addressed his companions on the last day of Sha`ban, saying, "Oh people! A great month has come over you; a blessed month; a month in which is a night better than a thousand months; month in which Allah has made it compulsory upon you to fast by day, and voluntary to pray by night. Whoever draws nearer (to Allah) by performing any of the (optional) good deeds in (this month) shall receive the same reward as performing an obligatory deed at any other time, and whoever discharges an obligatory deed in (this month) shall receive the reward of performing seventy obligations at any other time. It is the month of patience, and the reward of patience is Heaven. It is the month of charity, and a month in which a believer's sustenance is increased. Whoever gives food to a fasting person to break his fast, shall have his sins forgiven, and he will be saved from the Fire of Hell, and he shall have the same reward as the fasting person, without his reward being diminished at all." [Narrated by Ibn Khuzaymah]

Abu Said al-Khudri reported that the Messenger of Allah (saw), said: "No servant fasts on a day in the path of Allah except that Allah removes the hellfire seventy years further away from his face." This is related by "the group," except for Imam Abu Dawud.

Allah is the creator of this universe,

Allah is the creator of this universe, and every person must obey his rules and laws. On the Day of Judgment, a person will go to paradise or hell according to his deeds. Almighty Allah also told his messengers that non-Muslims will try to debate you and will insult you in your path. Allah Almighty already confirmed that his messenger is not a liar; therefore, if someone accuses them of anything, just ignore them. Therefore, the need is to remind about the message of Islam through the Holy Quran A true Muslim must keep the following things in mind, which are:

1) Signs of Allah

2) Our responsibility towards Almighty Allah.

3) Payback of the believers and disbelievers.

Surah Nun and Qalam starts by the message in which Allah Almighty tells his messenger that you are not mad, insane or schizophrenic. In the end of Surah, it is also mentioned by the disbelievers who say that Muhammad is insane. But if you read the whole surah, you will get to know that what the disbelievers say was not true. The job is not to convert any person, but to deliver the message of Almighty Allah to people. It can be good news or can be warning from any action.

Muslims must build a character in themselves so that all the people living in various societies can set a good example so that other people and Muslims also get attracted towards the religion of Islam. Every Muslim should develop fear of Almighty Allah in his heart.

Sura Ar-Rahman and its Meaning

Sura Ar-Rahman is of great significance. There are various points mentioned in this sura. It says that Allah Almighty is the one who blessed all the mankind with his teachings, and send Prophet Muhammad(P.B.U.H) as a messenger. Prophet Muhammad(P.B.U.H) served all the humanity with his teachings and taught the book of Quran to all mankind. It is mentioned that Allah is most kind and merciful, he is the creator of this universe. He sent down Quran for the guidance of all human kind.

This can be explained from the fact that Allah Almighty has created man, and it is the responsibility of creator to provide true guidance to his creature. Revelation of Holy Quran is a gift from Allah and it shows all people the right path to spend their lives in a better way. Another interpretation of this Sura is that if there were no creator of the universe, then who would be responsible for handling this universe, and if the creator did not show the right path then who could? There is another object to where Rahman was pointing and it is said in the Holy Quran:

“The Merciful (Ar-Rahman) has taught this Qur’an,’ it by itself gave the meaning that the revelation of the Qur’an for the guidance of mankind was nothing but Allah’s mercy and grace. As He is most kind and Merciful to His creation, He did not like that He should leave them wandering in the darkness, and His mercy demanded that He should send down this Quran to (give) them the knowledge on which depends their right guidance and conduct in the world and their success and well-being in the Hereafter.”
